I have a sad sad story
I'll tell it in a song
I found a baby python
in the (1)__________ (2)____________ my home

I kept it in a coffee can
underneath my bed
I walked my (3)________ daily
on a leash (4)________ out of thread

For seven months I kept (5)________ up
dreaming of the day
of (6)______________ into show and tell
with a 10 (7)________ (8)____________ snake

But I made a big mistake
(or a small one I should say)

My (9)________ snake is just a worm
The vet just checked
It is confirmed

By now he should be slinking
But all he does is squirm
My baby (10)__________ is just a worm

My friend and I made a snake cage
From (11)______________ wire and sticks
We worked all weekend on it
This news (12)________ makes us sick

Cause that (13)________ won't keep a (14)________ in
Never could, never will
A worm'll squirm right through it
And disappear into the silt

My friend, he's got a fishin' pole
and a (15)________ I've never seen
And he wants to take him fishin'

By now he should be slitherin' around
But all he does is squirm
